I am who I am because of each and every student with whom I've had the great privilege to work. I learn more about myself from each of them, and I regard them all as though they were my teachers, too. They will forever be a part of my heart.
In a nutshell Marc taught me how complex the brain was. Not that the actual functions of the brain has anything to do with color guard.. but he taught me that my mind was equipped with the tools to do anything. All I had to do was practice. Beautiful lesson never to be forgotten.

Marc is an inspiration to so many. He was my colorguard instructor for four years. In that time he taught me so many skills needed for performance, but he also left me with many leadership and life skills I still use today as a teacher in the classroom and as a mother to my children. He cares deeply for his students and not only shares his skills on the field, but places an imprint on the heart and spirit of everyone he works with. He pushes you to be the best version of yourself both in performance and in life. It is twenty years later, and he is still one of my favorite people on the planet. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be who I am today without the lessons Marc has taught me.

The first year Marc showed up as a instructor for our marching band was the first year that I felt like I could really get into the the product that we were trying to push.
He made us work harder and smarter through every aspect of marching and music. It was the first show that I felt had a purpose that everyone could see and feel through his drill and choreography. I wish Marc had been with us for the full 5 years that I was in marching band! But the two years that I marched under him were my two favorite years marching for The Eastern comets! He's still a very good friend!

Where do I begin with Marc Moss? I could start with his amazing skill and grace, or his compassion and love for each of his students. When I first began my Color Guard journey I was an awkward, clunky middle schooler with ZERO confidence. After 6 long years working with Marc he not only shaped me into a person who loved guard more than anything, but someone who, for the first time ever actually loved herself. At my deepest moments in life, through rough times at home, Marc was one person who stayed next to me and pushed me when all I wanted to do is give up. He never gives up on his students, he never puts them down, and he even tries his hardest to keep them involved in the marching arts long after graduation. Thanks to Marc I grew into the person I am today, he has opened my mind to so many amazing things and has given me my favorite memories. Even though I haven't been involved with marching arts for 3 years Marc still continues to inspire me as a choreographer, instructor, designer, performer, and most importantly a person. An amazing human being who I can't imagine my life without.

Before I met Marc, I was really into sports and played basketball. I was stressed out and didn't get the support from my coaches. Every comment was negative and really injured a part of me. My very first guard season with Marc as my instructor was in the Fall of my senior year. He inspired me, built me up, trained me, and most of all loved me. He built me up not only as a performing member, but as a human being. My confidence was coming back for the first time in years. I played basketball all of my life and quit my senior year, because it was either that or winter guard. I can't thank him enough for what he did for my confidence level and self-love. He unknowingly did all of this just by being himself. I wouldn't give anyone a better recommendation than this man. He knows his stuff and he cares about his students. I went on to teach side by side with him for the next seven years. He is incredibly talented and driven.
